We’re on the hunt for a Qualified Boilermaker or 2nd class welder with experience to join our team in the earthmoving industry. If you take pride in your welding and fabrication skills and have a solid background working on heavy machinery and structural steel, this is the opportunity for you.

About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for performing welding, repairs, and fabrication work on a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment and components—both in the workshop and occasionally on-site. The role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work autonomously.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and repair of earthmoving plant and attachments
  • MIG, TIG and stick welding as required
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
  • Working on wear plates, buckets, booms, chassis, and structural components
  • Completing pre-starts, maintenance reports, and job cards accurately
  • Supporting breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance work

Requirements:

  • Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade)
  • OR 2nd class welder fabricator with minimum 2 years experience
  • Experience in the earthmoving, mining, or heavy industry sectors
  • Proficient in MIG welding (TIG and stick welding experience a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Driver’s licence (HR or forklift ticket advantageous)
