At Gore Earthmoving, we believe our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we make a strong investment in training, mentoring and ongoing professional development for every member of our team – from those just starting their careers to experienced operators with years in the seat.

We live by the saying, “You can learn something new every day,” and we’re committed to creating opportunities for our team to continually build their knowledge and skills.

We’re currently supporting four of our younger operators as they complete their Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations under the guidance of Wayne from Major Training. Wayne regularly travels to Goondiwindi to deliver the theory component of the qualification, working closely with our team throughout their training.

To complement their classroom learning, Gore Earthmoving has its own dedicated training yard where operators can develop their practical skills in a safe, controlled environment. The facility also allows Wayne to carry out on-site practical assessments, giving our team valuable hands-on experience with the equipment they use every day.

Our training yard benefits the entire team. While it provides our newer operators with a safe place to build confidence and refine their skills, it also gives our experienced operators the opportunity to become familiar with new machinery whenever we expand or update our fleet.

Training doesn’t stop there. Through our mentoring program, newer operators are paired with experienced team members who provide guidance and support on the job. This combination of formal training and practical mentoring helps ensure our operators are confident, capable and ready to deliver the high standard of work our clients expect.
