Men’s Circle
Good Afternoon Team,
I recently received an email from Maddie Mortimer ( Founder – Steps 4 Strength www.steps4strength.com.au ). See attached and below, information on another great initiative for men of all ages to get together in a safe and supportive space to connect and support each other.
Email from Maddie Mortimer:
I’m thrilled to share an exciting update with you.As you know, part of the vision behind the Steps 4 Strength project has been to establish a supportive space for men in the Goondiwindi region, working closely with The Outback Mind Foundation to create a local Men’s Circle. After some dedicated searching, I’m pleased to announce that we’ve found not one, but two committed individuals to facilitate these circles on an ongoing basis. One of our facilitators is already fully trained through The Outback Mind Foundation’s program, while the second is set to complete their training soon. This means we’ll have continuous, reliable support for the men attending.
Starting Tuesday, 19th November, we’ll be hosting regular Men’s Circles at the Goondiwindi PCYC (Meeting Room behind the boxing gym) from 7 pm. These sessions are completely free and open to men of all ages, providing a safe, welcoming environment where they can connect, share, and support one another.
Why Men’s Circles Matter – The purpose is straightforward yet incredibly impactful—no clinical setting, no waiting lines, and no financial burden. Instead, it’s a community space where men can come together to talk about their challenges and share their stories. By fostering these connections, we’re breaking down the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and giving men a relatable, supportive environment where they can feel truly understood.
Kind Regards,
Greg Dalziel
